Alien: Romulus Gets A New TV Spot Ahead Of Its Release!

The first new Alien film since 2017's Alien: Covenant, Alien: Romulus, is set to release in little over two weeks from the time of this writing. In anticipation of the terrifying new adventure, 20th Century Studios has unveiled a new TV commercial showcasing new footage.

For fans who have been terrified by the monstrous xenomorph since its 1979 debut, this new promo offers more glimpses at the creature without revealing it entirely, so while the adventure is still mostly shrouded in mystery, it will surely build more excitement for the upcoming feature.

Before Alien: Romulus opens in theatres on August 16th, you can view the brand new TV commercial for the film below.

A Little bit About Alien: Romulus

The incredibly popular Alien series returns to its origins with Alien: Romulus. In the film, a gang of youthful space colonists will be seen encountering the most terrifying sentient creature in the universe while rooting around in the rubble of a decommissioned space station.

Civil War's Cailee Spaeny, Agatha Christie's Murder is Easy's David Jonsson, Shadow and Bone's Archie Renaux, The Last of Us' Isabela Merced, Aftersun's Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu are the film's leading cast members. Based on characters created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett, Fede Álvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) directs the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe 2), with whom he frequently collaborates.

Producer and director of the original Alien, Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott (Napoleon) is also involved with Alien: Romulus. Along with Scott, the film will also have backing from Michael Pruss (Boston Strangler) and Walter Hill (Alien).

According to a report on Comicbook.com, the executive producers are Fede Álvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (Charlie's Angels), Brent O'Connor (Bullet Train), and Tom Moran (Unstoppable).
