Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus has had its final trailer released from the hands of 20th Century Studios. The film takes place in Ridley Scott's Alien universe but tries to stand out and win back fans after a few disappointing films. The film follows a group of astronauts who are trapped with a monster while scavenging an abandoned space station.

Watch the trailer below:

Alien: Romulus follows the footsteps of 20th Century Studios' Prey, which used an intriguing director to revitalise the Predator franchise after years of disappointing sequels.

Romulus returns to the roots of the massively successful Alien franchise. Scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young colonisers encounters the most terrifying life form in the universe. The cast list of the film includes Cailee Spaeny (Civil War), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie's Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don't Breathe) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (Don't Breathe 2) based on Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett characters.
