Captain America 4: Anthony Mackie Celebrates 4th Of July With A New Picture From The Sets Of The Film

The newest star-spangled man in town, Anthony Mackie very recently posted a photo from the sets of the highly-anticipated Captain America: Brave New World on social media on the occasion of American Independence Day. You can find the post below:

Anthony Mackie will play Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World, which opens next year. After Avengers: Endgame in 2019, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) gave Sam the Cap torch, and Mackie played the hero in the series finale episode of Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Solider back in 2021. The very first time we saw Sam as Captain America, he donned an all-white vibranium-laced suit with colours of the American flag sprinkled all over, courtesy of the Avengers' friends in Wakanda. But now, he can be seen in a dark blue and certainly a more sombre get up.

What Is Captain America: Brave New World About?

After the concluding chapter of Disney+'s The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie's Captain America will embark on fresh adventures in the upcoming superhero event film. Liv Tyler (Betty Ross), Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres/Falcon), Carl Lumbly (Isaiah Bradley), and Shira Haas (Sabra) will also star. Additionally, Xosha Roquemore, Seth Rollins, and Rosa Salazar have been cast in unspecified roles. Post multiple reshoots, Giancarlo Esposito, who is best known as Breaking Bad's Gus Fring, will be seen playing a villain in this film. We are yet to learn the specifics of the character that Esposito will finally be seen playing.

Additionally, Harrison Ford will be seen essaying the character of Thaddeus/Thunderbolt Ross, the character formerly played by the late and great William Hurt until his passing in May 2022.
