Deadpool & Wolverine Beats “The Passion Of Christ” To Become The Highest Grossing R-Rated Film In North America; International Markets Continue To Bring In Steady Cash

Deadpool & Wolverine are not just slicing and dicing bad guys on screen, they're also slicing and dicing box office records!

Deadpool & Wolverine are still kicking butt at the box office! They've raked in a whopping $824.1 million worldwide. That breaks down to $395.6 million from the US and $428.5 million from other countries. And guess what? They've already made more money than the individual lifetime totals of the first two Deadpool movies. Deadline was amongst the first publications to report these numbers.

According to the very same Deadline article, they’re now the third most successful R-rated movie ever and the second biggest hit from Disney this year. Speaking of Disney, thanks to the Shawn Levy directorial, they've just become the first studio to make over $3 billion in 2024.

In addition, the latest superhero team-up movie (which was arguably the most requested once in the past decade) had a fantastic second weekend, dropping only 41% in sales from their first weekend. They're still the top non-local movie in every international market.

Oh, and Inside Out 2 finally made its debut in Japan, and guess what? It took the top spot!

As per the very same Deadline piece, the top 5 countries that are loving Deadpool & Wolverine are:

1. China: $45.2 million

2. UK: $42.4 million

3. Mexico: $32.8 million

4. Australia: $24.6 million

5. Germany: $19.1 million
