Blake Lively, the star of Deadpool & Wolverine, recently shared the story behind her transformation into Lady Deadpool in the latest film. Yesterday on Live with Kelly and Mark, the talented actress made a delightful appearance on the daytime show to discuss her exciting debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lively traced things all the way back to the early 2010s. It seems that Rob Liefeld, a veteran in the world of comics, took inspiration from the appearance of the Gossip Girl actress when creating the character. However, all of this is far from being carved in stone and it certainly wasn't a quick and easy process to bring Lady Deadpool to the big screen. From there, Ryan Reynolds seized the chance to bring this to life in Deadpool & Wolverine. And now, audiences everywhere are absolutely thrilled at the exciting prospect.

"Well, that was like a neat little surprise," Lively began. "Rob Liefeld, who drew LadyPool, I had no idea but in 2010, he drew Lady Deadpool and at the same time, I was cast in the Green Lantern with my now husband, who was not my husband then. The timeline, I know it gets a little wonky. You need a conspiracy yarn to track it. But, basically, there was no association with Ryan, Ryan had no association with Deadpool. He was supposed to make this movie. But, it was a pipe dream. It wasn't ever really going to happen."

Lively joked, "Rob Liefeld drew LadyPool, and I guess he and his wife watched Gossip Girl? So, it was just kind of crazy how the world… You know, my husband and I got married and Deadpool was made. They were looking for a LadyPool, so, you know."

Check out this clip from the interview where the It Ends With Us star spills the beans on the incredible series of events that eventually led to her donning the Ladypool costume over ten years later. It's quite a magical tale!

A Little About Deadpool & Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman team up in Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine to shake things up in the MCU. Matthew Macfadyen portrays the enigmatic Paradox, while Emma Corrin takes on the role of the cunning Cassandra Nova. Familiar faces from Deadpool, Morena Baccarin and Leslie Uggams, reprise their roles as Vanessa Carlysle and Blind Al. Karan Soni and Stefan Kapičić bring life to the characters Dopinder and Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, respectively. Additionally, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, and Lewis Tan make notable appearances. In the film, Aaron Stanford can be seen bringing his fiery charm back to the role of Pyro, while Jennifer Garner graces the screen once more as the fierce Elektra Natchios.

On the work front, Blake Lively will be next seen in "it End With Us", which will open in theatres this Friday.
