Deadpool & Wolverine Director Shawn Levy Breaks Silence On The Multitude Of Cameos In The Film Through An Instagram Post

The director of Deadpool & Wolverine can finally discuss the unexpected appearances in the film. Director Shawn Levy had been hinting at the exciting surprises in the Marvel Studios movie. The film recently revealed some footage that showcased characters who were not previously shown in the marketing material prior to the release of the film. It was also quite surprising to see Henry Cavill, known for his role as Superman, as the cigar-chomping 'Cavillrine', and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/Human Torch from the Fantastic Four films made by Fox.

Now that the news is public, Levy decided to share a behind-the-scenes cast photo on social media.

"If there's a director Heaven, I think I found it," Levy wrote alongside the picture, showcasing the director alongside a star-studded cast including Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Garner, and Dafne Keen.

Wade Wilson (Reynolds) and a Logan/Wolverine variant (Jackman) are unexpectedly stuck in the Void, a fascinating "metaphysical scrapyard" where the Time Variance Authority discards various versions of reality. In this peculiar place, they encounter Professor X's wicked twin sister, Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), and together, they become part of a rebellious group located in the borderlands. The team consists of Blade (Snipes), Elektra (Garner), X-23 (Keen), and Gambit (Tatum), the remaining members of a diverse Resistance formed from forgotten franchises.
