Deadpool & Wolverine: Jennifer Garner Reveals The Training She Went Through For Her Return As Elektra To The Big Screen

Jennifer Garner, who made a glorious comeback as her superhero character Elektra Matchios in Shawn Levy's Deadpool and Wolverine, recently posted to social media to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at her training for the role. Along with that, she gushed over Ryan Reynolds, the rest of the cast, and director Shawn Levy in the caption.

Deadpool & Wolverine has finally hit theatres, shocking and amusing audiences worldwide with its dark and twisted spin on Marvel legends. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will recall that Jennifer Garner's Elektra Natchios was one of many cameos from current and former Marvel actors. Nearly twenty years have passed since Garner portrayed Elektra in the Daredevil film of 2003 and her 2005 solo film Elektra. But then, Deadpool & Wolverine happened, though which she was able to give her character a fitting sendoff.

When Does Elektra Appear In Deadpool & Wolverine?

IMPORTANT D&W SPOILERS BELOW. Be careful as you go.

A Logan/Wolverine variant played by Jackman and Wade Wilson, played by Reynolds, find themselves stranded in the Void, an intriguing "metaphysical scrapyard" where the Time Variance Authority discards different realities. They join a borderlands rebel group after meeting Professor X's evil twin sister, Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), in this strange location. Out of a diverse Resistance assembled from long-forgotten franchises, the team is comprised of Blade (Wesley Snipes), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), X-23 (Dafne Keen), and Gambit (Channing Tatum). (The Punisher, Magneto, Daredevil, and Quicksilver are among the characters mentioned as having died offscreen.)
