Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds went on to share yet another carousel post with a heartwarming message on his Instagram handle. This time around, this post is in honour of Channing Tatum's Remy LeBeau, who finally got its long-overdue spotlight in the Shawn Levy directorial.

In the caption of the post that you can see below, Ryan Reynolds has drawn parallels between the story of him bringing Deadpool to the screens and that of Channing Tatum doing a similar thing. In addition, you can see that much like millions around the globe at this point, Reynolds too wants more of Tatum's card-dealing mutant turned X-Man making people go kaboom with his dealing skills on the screen.

Take a look at the whole post down below:

Reynolds' post follows Tatum's gesture of gratitude, as he shared two photos captured in 2015 and 2024. Here's where you can find it:

The Jump Street star was initially chosen to portray the lead character in Fox's Gambit film in 2014. Following the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney, the X-Men spinoff movie has been in the hands of various filmmakers such as Rupert Wyatt, Doug Liman, and Gore Verbinski. X-Men franchise producer Simon Kinberg mentioned in 2019 that the movie is currently being evaluated along with other projects. Despite Tatum's attempts to secure directors like Bennett Miller, Darren Aronofsky, Gareth Evans, and J.C. Chandor for the Gambit movie, the project was ultimately cancelled.

So for a long time, it seemed like Gambit wasn't in the cards for Channing Tatum — until Deadpool & Wolverine happened. Rest, as you all know, is box office records-breaking history! The film very recently surpassed the domestic lifetime total of "The Passion of Christ" to become the biggest R-rated film in North America and is expected to sit on a worldwide gross of anywhere between $1.1-1.2 billion dollars by the end of its theatrical run. If that happens, the film will become the highest grossing R-Rated comic book movie of all time, surpassing Todd Phillips' 2019 surprise blockbuster, Joker.
