Attention: The upcoming article contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine. Proceed with caution.

Since the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Snipes has been sharing the story of his return to the character of Blade. He discusses how it happened and addresses whether his feud with Ryan Reynolds was genuine or not.

"It started with a text from Ryan Reynolds. I saw a text that said 'I want to talk to you.' And I was like, 'I hate this guy,'" he said in a video interview with EW, with a laugh. "You know, this is a joke. We've been playing this for like two decades. We've actually liked each other the whole time!"

Snipes continued the story, sharing that Reynolds expressed his enthusiasm for bringing Blade back. Reynolds mentioned that if Marvel was interested, he would be fully on board with the idea.  "I did not think he would be able to pull it off." he exclaimed. I did not think he would be able to pull it off. I didn't think Marvel was into it, that Disney was into it, and also because they had Mahershala cast for the next upcoming version of it. It didn't make sense to me!"

Take a look at the clip from this year's San Diego Comic Con, shared by renowned entertainment daily Comicbook.con, that sees Snipes sharing the story down below:

It's clear that Marvel and Disney were fully on board with this long-awaited appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine. And the rest, as we all know, is an incredible achievement in the world of cinema.

Snipes' Blade made a memorable appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, adding to the excitement of the film. He teams up with the title characters and other Marvel characters Elektra, Gambit, and X-23 to fight against Cassandra Nova and her mutants.

Marvel has faced numerous challenges in their efforts to revive the Blade franchise with Mahershala Ali in the lead role. Snipes jokingly mentioned the project in Deadpool & Wolverine, playfully stating that he's the only Blade that audiences will ever witness on the silver screen. That part had me laughing uncontrollably for a solid two minutes, I'm not sure why.
