Despicable Me 4 Is Off To A Flying Start At The Box Office

Despicable Me 4 has finally made it to theatres and within a day of its release, the film has opened to a respectable $27 million at the American box office. This number is partially courtesy of the hype and the anticipation for the film and partially due to the fact that it opened on 4th of July, which is American Independence day.

One of the first tabloids that reported the above number was ComicBook.com, a well known entertainment daily in the west. Additionally, the article that dished out the above number also reports that the fourth instalment in the Despicable Me franchise is expected to make anywhere between 100-120 million by the end of this weekend. If the film continues to have legs post the initial weekend, the film could very well turn in a big profit for all the stakeholders involved.
