Despicable Me 4's Weekend Global Box Office Numbers Are Out

Despicable Me 4's weekend global box office is staggering. Variety reported on Sunday that Despicable Me 4 had a $122.6 million five-day domestic debut and $75 million three-day weekend. While Inside Out 2's opening total last month was much higher, those statistics are still good enough for second place. The two cartoon sequels are the only 2024 films to gross over $100 million domestically, though Deadpool & Wolverine may follow in some weeks.

Besides its blockbuster domestic opening weekend, Despicable Me 4 did well worldwide. The picture grossed $230 million worldwide in five days, including a cool $106.9 million from international markets.
