Emilia Clarke Roped In By Amazon To Play The Co-Lead In "Criminal"

Emilia Clarke will star a Prime Video drama, and missing out on it will probably be a Criminal Offence.

The Game of Thrones and Secret Invasion star joined Criminal, based on Ed Brubaker (Westworld) and Sean Phillips' comic novel series, as per a report on THR.

Mallory, played by Clarke, is "a slick and audacious armed robber, as quick with a gun as she is with her wits Her robbery team includes Ricky Lawless (Gus Halper), with whom she has a passionate Bonnie-and-Clyde affair. Mallory exists on the brink of breaking the law and concealing secrets that will put her and her crew in danger.”

The THR report that broke the news also states that Jordan Harper and Brubaker will serve as the show runners for Criminal.

Clarke last appeared in Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion, where her Skrull character Gaia had a fascinating character arc.
