Brad Pitt's 'F1,' movie just became bigger, courtesy of the onboarding of "Bridgerton" actress Simone Ashley.
In F1, Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One racer who teams up with and coaches rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) for the fictitious APXGP squad, the eleventh team on the grid.
As per a report on Variety, filming for the project proceeded over the weekend at Silverstone Circuit in Northampton, England, where observant fans saw Ashley with Idris. Cast members Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, and Samson Kayo accompany the fictional squad as they compete against the sport's heavy hitters over real Grand Prix weekends. The specifics of Ashley's role are a well-kept secret as of right now.
Interestingly, Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, who is also a co-producer on the film "F1," won the race on Sunday, and the first teaser for the film was released at the same time.
