Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!

Jason Reitman's highly anticipated biopic about Saturday Night Live has at last settled on a title—Saturday Night—and is set to hit theatres later this year. According to a report from Deadline, the highly anticipated film, Saturday Night is set to grace the big screens in October, with a possible premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in early September. The film was previously being called "SNL1975" as was announced by the director himself through an Instagram post that you can find below:

The film is set to be released on October 11, coinciding with the original debut of the live sketch comedy back in 1975. This article on Comicbook.com provides some exciting updates on the highly anticipated feature presentation.

What Is Saturday Night Going To Be About?

According to the Comicbook.com article, Saturday Night is supposedly inspired by a real-life event that occurred just 90 minutes before Saturday Night Live went on the air almost half a century ago. The film is set to hit theatres just in time for the highly anticipated 50th season premiere of Saturday Night Live on NBC and Peacock later this year.
