Kalki 2898 AD: When Kamal Haasan Made An Adorable Remark About Deepika Padukone's Baby Bump

On Friday (June 27), the film Kalki 2898 AD, which stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan, was released. Both critics and audiences have have been nothing but all praises for them thus far.

In fact, as early as the first day of its release, Kalki had already come eerily close to the 100 crore milestone. After the first weekend of sales, Nag Ashwin's science fiction flick has all the makings of the biggest blockbuster in Indian cinematic history.

Ahead of the release, all the major players from Kalki 2898 AD gathered in a Mumbai pre-release event to discuss the film. During which, an endearing moment occurred during the open discussion when Kamal Haasan made a comment on Deepika Padukone's growing baby belly.

The famous faces were shown having an open and honest discussion in an interview that was made public by the production company. They discussed a wide range of topics, including their time on the Nag Ashwin set.

Additionally, Deepika Padukone mentioned that she had gotten a call from Nag Ashwin during their first day of filming with Kamal Haasan. The actress pointed to Haasan and remarked, “I got a call when you walked onto the set. I remember Nagi (Nag Ashwin) calling me and saying I just called you to tell you that we shot our first day with Kamal sir.”

With a grin, the Vikram actor said "He never called me.”

Padukone continued by saying that following Nag Ashwin's first day of filming with Kamal Haasan, he sounded as giddy as a little child.

But when the actor from Indian 2 pointed to Deepika Padukone's growing baby belly and said, “We hope that this child will also make a film one day.”. This left the entire cast present as well as the audience in splits.
