During the press conference attended by Screen Rant, Feige shared some insights on the future of the mutants in the MCU. Feige describes Deadpool & Wolverine as the starting point for the mutant era in the MCU, marking an exciting new chapter in the franchise.

When questioned about the future of Mutants in the MCU, ScreenRant quoted Kevin Feige saying that "I think every [MCU] movie is important, and the most important thing is a great movie. [...] So there's nothing better for a cinematic universe than a great movie coming out. The before and after? I think a lot of people talk about the R-rating - 'Is every [Marvel] movie going to be R-rated after this?' Of course not. But I hope every movie after this embraces its tonality the way Deadpool does and the way this team was able to do on Deadpool & Wolverine. Also, the 'after' is clearly...Now that we have the characters from the X-Men world and the mutants, that we haven’t had access [to] before, I think this is the beginning of that, and everything post-Deadpool & Wolverine will be the mutant era coming into the MCU."

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get a whole lot more interesting as Kevin Feige announces the exciting arrival of a new chapter, kicking off with Deadpool & Wolverine. Get ready for some mutant madness! With mutants gradually infiltrating the MCU, Deadpool and Wolverine are poised to bring a whole new level of excitement. Ryan Reynolds is making a triumphant return as Wade Wilson, seemingly becoming a permanent fixture in the MCU timeline. And that's not all - it seems that other mutants from Fox's X-Men franchise will also be making their long-awaited appearances.

Although the director for the X-Men movie has not been chosen yet, the script is being crafted by the talented Michael Lesslie. Marvel Studios has not yet announced a release date for the film, keeping fans eagerly waiting. With mutants making their way into the MCU, it's natural to wonder if the X-Men franchise will find a place in Phase 6. Let's not forget that Marvel Studios still has a few tricks up their sleeve for Phase 6, and who knows, it might just be the perfect opportunity for the X-Men to make their grand entrance.

Currently, the MCU audience can indulge in their X-Men cravings with the highly anticipated release of Deadpool & Wolverine, hitting theatres this Friday. Take a look at the latest teaser trailer that has been released by the makers of the Shawn Levy directorial down below.
