M. Night Shyamalan's Trap Gets Its Censor Rating

Trap, the new movie from M. Night Shyamalan and Warner Bros., has been given a PG-13 rating by the Motion Picture Association. MPA says the ratings are "for some violent content and brief strong language." The movie stars Josh Hartnett and is about a dad and his daughter who get stuck in a music hall with a serial killer and 30,000 other people who might be responsible.

The movie has original songs by Saleka Shyamalan (as Lady Raven). This is the second big family project in recent months; the first was Shyamalan directing his daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan's first movie, The Watchers. The movie Trap will be out next month.

The movie Trap stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, and Allison Pill. It was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock, and M. Night Shyamalan are the producers of the movie. Steven Schneider has taken the executive producer's chair for this one.

Warner Bros. Pictures will release Trap over the world. It will only be shown in theatres in the United States on August 9th, but it will be shown all over the world starting August 1st.
