M3GAN 2.0 Is Officially In Production!

Official filming has begun on M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to the smash horror comedy that debuted in 2022. The sequel to M3GAN is currently shooting towards a new release date of June 27, 2025, and so far, everything is going according to plan, as per the Comicbook.com article, which was one of the first pieces that made this news public.

As per the very same article, stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, who were in the first film, will be back for the sequel, and Jenna Davis will reprise her role as M3GAN's voice actor. Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows), Aristotle Athari (SNL), Ivanna Sakhno (Star Wars: Ahsoka), and Timm Sharp (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) are among the new cast members. Akela Cooper will pen the script, Gerard Johnstone will direct, and Jason Blum, James Wan, and Williams will serve as producers for M3GAN 2.0.

Although details about M3GAN 2.0's plot have been kept under wraps, the escalating trajectory set by the first film is easy to discern. The use of M3GAN across vast networks and systems has the potential to unleash a legion of M3GAN dolls or even a Saw-style house of smart home traps. Since the original M3GAN was so lighthearted and not taken too seriously, the sequel can pull off any ridiculous idea.
