Nawazuddin Siddiqui Will Portray The Infamous Assamese Judge, Upendra Nath Rajkhowa In His Next Film: Report

Among the many actors working in Hindi cinema today, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a paragon of adaptability. Thackeray, Manto, and Manjhi—The Mountain Man are just a few examples of the actor's impressive track record of taking on difficult parts and delivering stellar performances. According to Nawazuddin's brother Faizuddin Siddiqui, who is also producing the film, Nawazuddin is set to play the notorious Assamese judge Upendra Nath Rajkhowa in his next film, adding another impressive role to his diverse filmography. When the news broke, BollywoodHungama was one of the first publications to report it.

In the midst of all the conjecture, Faizuddin Siddiqui has officially announced filming will begin on the film, which will examine the complicated character of Rajkhowa and the events leading up to his arrest and execution.

According to BollywoodHungama, he said the following while discussing the film:

"I was super intrigued by this story and I really wanted to be a part of such a film so I thought of going ahead and producing this film myself in my own production house and who better than my brother Nawazuddin Siddiqui to play the role of Upendra Nath Rajkhowa who is an Assamese judge. We all already know the versatility and range of Nawaz and I am delighted to announce this project with my brother”

Adding this dynamic new character to Nawazuddin's already impressive resume is sure to be a treat. In his next film, the actor will play the part of the infamous Assamese judge Upendra Nath Rajkhowa, which will be another demanding role for him. The film will explore the disturbing and terrible circumstances surrounding the arrest and execution of Rajkhowa for the heinous crime of brutally killing his relatives, a case that rocked the Indian state of Assam. The portrayal of yet another contentious historical figure by Nawazuddin in this film will undoubtedly continue to astound viewers.
