New Trailer Alert: Anora, Starring Mikey Madison And Sean Baker

The first trailer for Sean Baker's newest film, Anora, which won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival this year, has been released.

The title character is a sex worker from New York who gets married to the son of a Russian oligarch; Mikey Madison, who is famous for her role in the FX series Better Things, plays the lead role.

Anora and her new husband are pursued by fixers who want to end their marriage in the Neon movie trailer, which depicts her travelling to Las Vegas and unexpectedly encountering a small, white chapel. There will be a lot of fur shopping, private jets, and parties along the route. Take a look at the trailer below:

The Hollywood Reporter reports that critics at Cannes, where Anora won the Plame d'Or, were very complimentary of Baker's follow-up to Red Rocket.

The same source also claims that Neon will release the film on October 18th.
