New Trailer Alert: Apple TV's "Disclaimer", Starring Cate Blanchett and Sacha Baron Cohen

Apple has recently released the trailer for Disclaimer, a 7-part limited series starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline and Sacha Baron Cohen. The show has been written for screen and directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

The psychological thriller, created and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker (Roma, Gravity), stars fellow Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline and is based on Renée Knight's best-selling novel of the same title.

The Apple Studios series, told in seven chapters, premieres on October 11 with the first two episodes, with new episodes released every Friday after that. Cuarón's first show under his overall deal with the streaming service is this series.

The logline reads: “Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets. As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee).”

The ensemble cast also includes Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, Hoyeon, and the narrator, Indira Varma.

Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content collaborated on the production of Disclaimer. Cuarón and Gabriela Rodriguez are executive producers for Esperanto Filmoj. Blanchett, Emmanuel Lubezki, Donald Sabourin, and Carlos Morales serve as executive producers, while Anonymous Content's David Levine and the late Steve Golin also do.
