New Trailer Alert: Borderlands, Starring Kevin Hart And Cate Blanchett

The live-action Borderlands film's August 9th release date is drawing near. With just over two weeks remain until the film's release, and Lionsgate has dropped a brand new trailer giving fans one last look at Eli Roth's upcoming picture. The plot and the characters' relationships are the main points of this trailer, as they were in the previous one. Tonally, it's pretty much the same as the first trailer, but if you weren't sold on the film adaptation of the video game, this final trailer should give you one more reason to check it out. The heroes of Borderlands will set out on a quest to find Pandora's long-lost vault. Surviving the planet's many dangers will be far easier said than done for Lilith, Roland, Tiny Tina, and the rest of the party on that mission. A portion based on Piss Wash Gully is the most prominent example of how today's caravan recycles elements from the previous one. Despite this, there are a number of fresh moments, some of which even make reference to the video games. Roland uses one of Tiny Tina's exploding rabbit plushies at about the 1:25 mark!

With Jack Black voicing Claptrap, Borderlands will feature Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Jamie Lee Curtis as Patricia Tannis, Kevin Hart as Roland, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, and Florian Munteanu as Krieg.
