In the sequel to Universal's 2021 surprise hit Nobody, produced by 87North, the actress, philanthropist, and fashion icon will star alongside Bob Odenkirk, according to an article on The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the source article, the actor will be seen playing the role of a quiet family man who is actually a former government assassin once again for the film. He has previously appeared in Breaking Bad and The Better Call Saul. Although details about the plot are being kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that Stone will play the role of the piece's main antagonist.

It will be directed by Timo Tjahjanto, an Indonesian filmmaker famous for horror and action features like May the Devil Take You and parts of the V/H/S series. Aaron Rabin, Derek Kolstad, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem wrote the screenplay.

The original film's producers are back on the roster. Odenkirk is producing alongside David Leitch and Kelly McCormick through their Universal production company 87North. Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment's Marc Provissiero (No Hard Feelings) and Eighty Two Films' Braden Aftergood are also producing.

The theatrical release date for Nobody 2 has been set for August 15, 2025 by Universal.

Despite being released during the pandemic, the first film, which cost only $16 million to produce, managed to earn over $57.5 million globally, hence it only makes sense to do a follow up to the 2021 actioner.
