Shaitaan 2: Makers Have Already Begun The Writing Process For The Sequel To Ajay Devgn And R Madhavan's Critically Acclaimed Tantra-Based Film: Report

The producers of the critically acclaimed horror film Shaitaan (2024) have reportedly working on the sequel, according to Bollywood Hungama. This establishes Ajay Devgn as the sole Indian actor to have appeared in no less than eight separate film franchises.

"The work has begun on the writing of Shaitaan 2," a source informed Bollywood Hungama. The producers and Ajay Devgn will decide when filming can begin once the script is finalised. Part one was highly acclaimed and became one of this year's most popular releases. As a result, they have made it clear that they will not rush through the script. After that, they will be able to proceed.

The first Shaitaan film made its theatrical debut on 8th March, 2024 and was directed by Vikas Bahl. The film opened to mostly positive reviews and critics took a shine to the individual performances in the film.

According to Bollywood Hungama's source, Ajay Devgn has become the only Indian actor to star in the most successful franchises with Shaitaan 2 and Son Of Sardaar 2. The films cover a wide variety of genres, from comedies to romantic comedies to action flicks.

Ajay Devgn has been in eight feature films: Golmaal (four films), Singham (two films), Dhamaal (three films), Drishyam (two films), Raid (sequel expected to release this year), De De Pyaar De (sequel to release on May 1, 2025), Son Of Sardaar, Shaitaan, and a third film in the series, Total Dhamaal.

At the same time, according to the same BollywoodHungama report, production on Drishyam 3 is underway in full swing, with the formal announcement to follow once all the details are ironed out.
