The Star Wars movie by Shawn Levy is picking up speed. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Lucasfilm has hired screenwriter Jonathan Tropper to write the script for the movie. While Levy worked on this month's Deadpool & Wolverine, the movie has been put on hold. It was first announced in November 2022.

Tropper often works with Levy. He wrote the screenplay for Levy's family drama This Is Where I Leave You (2014) and the script for Levy's 2017 Netflix movie Kodachrome, which was directed by Mark Raso. Netflix's third-best original movie of all time, The Adam Project, was their biggest project to date. It stars Ryan Reynolds. It might have been fitting that The Adam Project had a tool that looked like a lightsaber. Tropper is known for making the TV shows Banshee and Warrior and running the Jason Momoa show See when he's not working with Levy.

Well, guess only time will tell if Levy will be seen taking a journey to a galaxy far, far away!

In the meanwhile, Shawn Levy is getting ready for the grand release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which is arguably his biggest film to date in terms of scale, star power and box office opening weekend projections (It is expected to make a whopping $175 million in its opening weekend alone, while some trade experts are of the opinion that it could very well post a number between $220-$230 million by the end of its opening weekend). The most recent trailer of the upcoming superhero flick can be found below:
