Suits: LA Has Been Officially Greenlit By NBC: Report

The world of suits is expanding.

NBC has ordered Suits: LA, a spinoff/companion show to the USA Network series-turned-streaming juggernaut.

Like its predecessor, Suits: LA is by Aaron Korsh, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Korsh and Universal Studio Group's UCP, which produced Suits, began developing a second show set in the same world as the New York-set Suits last year after its streaming success. Spring filming followed NBC's February pilot order.

Suits: LA stars Stephen Amell (Arrow, Heels) as Ted Black, a former New York federal prosecutor who runs a Los Angeles law firm. The show's logline is "(Log Line)"

Other actors include Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg. Korsh will executive produce with Suits EPs David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein. Pilot director Victoria Mahoney is also an executive producer of the show.
