Next month, cinemas will welcome Alien: Romulus, a sci-fi/horror movie that promises to return the acclaimed brand to its original formula. Along with Aileen Wu, David Jonsson of Agatha Christie's Murder is Easy, Shadow and Bone's Archie Renaux, The Last of Us' Isabela Merced, and Aftersun's Spike Fearn are featured in the film. The film was directed by Fede Álvarez, who has worked on Evil Dead and Don't Breathe before, and written the screenplay with Rodo Sayagues, with whom he has worked on Don't Breathe 2 as well. A fresh sneak peek at the picture, featuring Spaeny, Álvarez, and others, was released today by 20th Century Studios. The sneak peek in question gives us a sense of what to expect from the picture. The same can be found below:

A Little About Alien: Romulus

According to promotional materials, Alien: Romulus is less of a continuation of the Alien series and more of a spinoff. In it, a band of youthful space colonists confront the most horrifying alien species ever. Romulus' story was inspired by a deleted scene from James Cameron's Aliens that included child colonists, as Álvarez has previously said.
