Tere Ishk Mein: Kriti Sanon To Star Opposite Dhanush In Aanand L. Rai's Film: Report

Tere Ishk Mein, the romantic epic starring Dhanush and directed by Aanand L Rai, is shaping up to be the highly anticipated reunion of the actor-director duo after the smash hit Raanjhanaa. As per a report on pinkvilla, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya star Kriti Sanon is being considered for the role of the female lead in the film. The other than that, nothing has come out regarding its cast since its grand announcement a year ago, which featured AR Rahman as the music composer and Irshad Kamil as the lyricist. But now, we know that Kriti Sanon is reportedly close to a deal that would allow her to co-star with Dhanush in this musical romance.

"Kriti was impressed by the narration she received from Aanand L Rai a few months ago," described an insider who spoke with Pinkvilla about the development. The intricacy of her character and her metamorphosis throughout the film particularly captivated her. The paperwork is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, even though she has verbally agreed to the project.

The source went on to suggest that a male actor plays a significant role in Tere Ishk Mein, comparing it to the character played by Abhay Deol in Raanjhanaa. The producers are currently in talks with a number of actors and will soon finalise the cast.

The excitement surrounding Tere Ishk Mein is building up to its highly anticipated theatrical release in 2025, with production set to begin in October 2024. The film is being produced by Colour Yellow Productions and is written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav.

Kriti Sanon was last seen in Maddock Films' Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which sees her play a robot. The film also sees Shahid Kapoor as its male lead.

Dhanush, on the other hand, was last seen in Raayan. The film, which has also been directed by Dhanush, made its silver screen debut on 26th July, 2024.
