In response to filming Homelander's graphic sequences in season 4, episode 4, actor Antony Starr of The Boys explained why it was really enjoyable to shoot the series of events. The Seven's commander visits the Vought lab, his childhood home, on a walk down memory lane in this episode. He physically and mentally torments the employees, particularly the scientists who had mistreated him as a young child, during The Boys season 4, episode 4.
Speaking with Variety, Starr revealed that it was actually a lot of fun to film the gruesome scenes from Homelander in The Boys season 4, episode 4. The actor claimed that he enjoyed the experience since he got to play a character that could accomplish things that are impossible in real life. While speaking to Variety, Antony Starr, who is also known for his work in a little critically acclaimed show known as Banshee, said that "It was actually really fun. As dark and f----d up as that seems now, that was probably one of the most enjoyable sequences I’ve had on the show. I had a ball doing it. It can’t get weird enough or dark enough for me and I love that. We get to do things on screen that we never get to do in real life so it was a huge amount of fun."
It is not a secret that the events of Season 4 Episode 4 are going to be a major turning point for the character. We are excited and anxious about the future course of events at the same time, for this time, it seems like all hell might just be on the verge of breaking loose.
