The highly anticipated eighth instalment in the action franchise's decades-long run, Mission: Impossible 8, has a long way to go before its release. A new cast member has been announced, but at this point we don't know much about the film, not even its full title.

Now now, we hear that actor Stephen Oyoung, who is known for his roles in Twisters and Marvel's Spider-Man, has reportedly joined the cast of Mission: Impossible 8 in an unspecific capacity. One of the first dailies to break this news was Comicbook.com.

Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, and Henry Czerny are among the actors Oyoung will be appearing alongside. The Comicbook.com report further reveals that Tramell Tillman, Lucy Tulugarjuk, Janet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham, and Katy O'Brian are among the new cast members as well.

A Brief Overview of Mission: Impossible 8.

Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt faced off against one of his most personal enemies to date in 2023's Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One, and that is the very point from which story of Mission: Impossible 8 is supposed to start. Currently, May 23, 2025, is the only date set for the theatrical release of Mission: Impossible 8.
