"The Devil Wears Prada" Sequel Is Reportedly In The Works At Disney

Brace yourselves, for Miranda Priestly will deliver more snide glances in “The Devil Wears Prada” sequel.

Disney is making a sequel to the 2006 film starring Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, the high-powered fashion magazine editor from hell (or Runway magazine's editor-in-chief, to be more accurate), with Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt as her harried assistants Andrea Sachs and Emily Charlton respectively.

Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Your Place or Mine”) is in talks to write the sequel. In the film, Priestly will reportedly navigate her career in the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against Blunt's character, a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars Priestly desperately needs. Who from the original cast will return is a mystery for now.

In the years since the first film, many have wondered if Miranda, Andy, and Emily are done. At February's SAG Awards, the trio reunited to promote the film. For Variety's “Actors on Actors” series, Hathaway and Blunt reminisced about making the film, revisiting some of its most iconic moments and discussing working with Streep (who improvised some of Miranda's most biting lines, but she ended up missing out on the on-set fun because she went full Method).

Well, we guess we will find out what is in store for the iconic trio soon.
