Nocturna Pictures, created earlier this year by Skydance, Andy Muschietti, and Barbara Muschietti, is producing the thriller They Will Kill You, which features Patricia Arquette and Tom Felton among its cast members. Among the initial news outlets to break this story was The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the same THR report, the feature will be distributed and co-financed by New Line. Kirill Sokolov will be the director when production begins in mid-September.
The film They Will Kill You, starring Zazie Beetz, is billed as a horror film with a touch of black humour. It follows Beetz's character as she responds to a wanted ad for a housekeeper in an enigmatic New York City high-rise, unaware that she is joining a community that has experienced multiple disappearances and might be controlled by a Satanic cult. Some have compared the project's tone to that of The Raid and Ready or Not.
Currently, Arquette can be seen starring in Ben Stiller's critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series Severance. She won an Oscar for her performance in Richard Linklater's 12-year masterpiece Boyhood. With recent credits including High Desert, Apple's crime comedy, the actress has been establishing herself as a major player in the prestige series genre. Escape at Dannemora, an eight-hour miniseries on Showtime directed by Stiller, and The Act, a streaming series on Hulu, both featured her.
The role of Draco Malfoy in the iconic Harry Potter films brought Felton the greatest fame. His latest role is in the science fiction picture Altered, directed by Timo Vuorensola of Finland.
