Varun Dhawan May Start Shooting For David Dhawan's Romantic Comedy Soon

Varun Dhawan is getting ready to collaborate with his father, prominent filmmaker David Dhawan, for the fourth time. The father and son duo have previously worked on three rib-tickling comedies in the past such as Main Tera Hero (2014), Judwaa 2 (2017), and the 2020 remake of Coolie No. 1. With this movie, they are returning to a familiar playground. But this time around, they're venturing into the world of romantic comedies, so things are certainly going to be a little bit different. The plot of the yet-to-be-titled project is currently unknown, however rumours have it that Mrunal Thakur would seen as Dhawan's co-star in this flick. As if that weren't enough, Sreeleela, an actor from the Kannada film industry, will arrive in Bollywood.

 According to a report in Mid-day, shooting is scheduled to begin on July 12 at Bandra's Mehboob Studios. Detailed sets have been built for the first indoor filming schedule, which, according to the report, would most likely focus on Varun Dhawan's character. Production will move to other areas once this initial phase, which occurs during the monsoon season, is complete.

It appears like Varun Dhawan, who just became a father, is enjoying parenting while still juggling his professional commitments. In addition to this film, he is also apparently going to star in Shashank Khaitan's Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The filming timeline is very tight, as the goal is to finish the project's principal photography sometime around Diwali.

More information will likely surface in the following weeks as the filming date approaches. The film's title, plot details, and maybe even a first glimpse of the main coupling are expected to follow shortly.
